Nível socioeconômico familiar e interação pais-filho
relação com funções executivas

O desenvolvimento das funções executivas é influenciado pelo contexto socioeconômico e ambiental. Entretanto, estudos que exploram os efeitos de indicadores econômicos, interação pais-filho e as funções executivas das crianças no Brasil são escassos. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi explorar as relações do nível socioeconômico familiar e dos momentos dos pais com a criança no desempenho infantil nas funções executivas. Foram aplicados questionários com os pais e realizadas tarefas neuropsicológicas informatizadas com 45 crianças de seis a 10 anos, com nível socioeconômico semelhante, de duas cidades da Paraíba. Os resultados sobre os efeitos da idade e escolaridade no desenvolvimento das funções executivas divergiram das principais investigações reportadas na literatura antes da pandemia por COVID-19. Não houve diferenças estatisticamente significativas entre o desempenho nas funções executivas e profissão do principal cuidador, escolaridade da mãe e do pai, renda familiar e quantidade de momentos entre a criança e o cuidador. Conclui-se que, entre famílias de nível socioeconômico similar, as características do ambiente familiar e o perfil executivo das crianças parecem ser semelhantes. Os achados também alertam para os possíveis prejuízos da pandemia por COVID-19 e do afastamento das atividades escolares presenciais no desenvolvimento executivo infantil.
