This paper presents four psychological theories to show that the adoption of each of them results in a specific way to plan and evaluate the teaching- and-learning process. The selection of the theories was based on their quotation frequency in specific literature. Two of the chosen authors, Skinner and Gagné, proposed their theoretical positions aiming specifically the scholar teaching-and-learning process. The other two, Piaget and Vygotsky, did not study directly the learning process but related their theories to education as they proposed some kind of educational innovation.
