Learning disturbances in the teacher vision
Keywords:

Introduction: Education today faces extensive and varied discussions, with school failure presenting a significant challenge. This study aims to identify the knowledge held by teachers—those directly working with students—as they are crucial in the diagnosis of students with learning disorders. Often, students facing these issues are stigmatized or met with incorrect attitudes regarding their classroom actions. Objective: The objective was to verify teachers' knowledge regarding learning disorders. Method: To achieve this, a questionnaire was administered to teachers in public schools. The collected data were statistically analyzed, discussed, and conclusions were drawn. Results: The results highlighted a lack of knowledge among teachers regarding the distinction between learning disorders and learning difficulties. Conclusion: The findings suggest that teachers need to re-evaluate their teaching methods and their practical and theoretical understanding, continually seeking further education.
