The objective of this manuscript was to analyze theoretical and methodological aspects of research on pedagogy and hospital classrooms. Understanding the space stated as a substitute for the school within a hospital, which cares for patients of school age. To respond to the purpose, a systematic review of the literature was carried out in the Wos, Scopus and Scielo databases in the period between 2015 and 2022. The results show a prevalence of interpretative and descriptive works with an emphasis on the case study, where the categories teaching and teacher training, health, and biopsychosocial aspects, correspond to the epistemic support of the selected articles. Likewise, scientific productions of a mixed nature are observed that address the object of study. We conclude on the importance of developing longitudinal designs that examine the impact of hospital pedagogical training in universities.
