Avaliação da teoria da mente em adultos com autismo: revisão da literatura

Resumo

O estudo teve o objetivo de realizar uma revisão integrativa da literatura sobre os instrumentos de avaliação da Teoria da Mente em adultos com Transtorno do Espectro Autista, entre os anos 2018 e 2023 através do Portal de Periódicos da CAPES, que contempla diversas bases de dados nacionais e internacionais. Foram selecionados 18 artigos considerando os critérios de inclusão e exclusão usando a combinação dos seguintes descritores em inglês e seus respectivos termos em português, utilizando dos operadores booleanos (AND) e (OR), com as seguintes combinações: Autims Spectrum Disorder (OR) ADS (AND) Theory of mind (OR) Social Recognition (END) Assessment (OR) Instrument (AND) Adult. Constatou-se a variabilidade de instrumentos de avaliação para esta população, sendo identificado 16 tarefas distintas usadas em contextos internacionais. Os resultados destacam uma prevalência de instrumentos focados no paradigma cognitivo. Contudo, os testes clássicos como Reading the Mind in the Eyes Test (RMET) e o Strange Stories Film Task foram os mais utilizados nos estudos. Além disso, foi constatado um aumento discreto de tarefas que buscam avaliar o paradigma integrativo da ToM.
