El trabajo que presentamos tiene como propósito ofrecer lineamientos teóricos tendientes a promover una mejor comprensión de los procesos de aprendizaje en entornos académicos, a partir de las contribuciones de dos campos disciplinares, la Neurociencia y la Psicología Educacional. Asimismo, busca contribuir en la mejora de la planificación y el diseño instructivo de la clase, a fin de promover el desarrollo de las funciones ejecutivas, que redundarán en aprendizajes escolares significativos y comportamientos metacognitivos. La discusión y presentación girará en torno a interrogantes claves, que funcionan como guía para orientar la práctica y rediseñar los contextos áulicos de enseñanza-aprendizaje.
