Rejection Rate

Revista Psicopedagogia, published by the Brazilian Association of Psychopedagogy (ABPp), applies rigorous scientific and editorial evaluation criteria, in line with international best practices in scholarly publishing and the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

The rejection rate reflects the journal’s commitment to the quality, relevance, and originality of the contributions it publishes. This rate is calculated based on the number of manuscripts submitted and those ultimately accepted for publication in each annual volume.

Currently, Revista Psicopedagogia maintains an average rejection rate between 60% and 70%, which may vary depending on the number of submissions, the alignment of manuscripts with the journal’s scope, and the outcome of peer review evaluations.

The most common reasons for manuscript rejection include:

  • lack of originality or significant scientific contribution;

  • misalignment with the journal’s thematic scope;

  • insufficient methodological rigor or theoretical consistency;

  • failure to meet editorial standards or ethical publication criteria.

Authors of rejected manuscripts receive, whenever possible, a detailed review report with improvement suggestions, in accordance with the journal’s policy of transparency and continuous enhancement of scientific quality.

Revista Psicopedagogia thus reaffirms its commitment to scientific excellence, editorial ethics, and the strengthening of national and international psychopedagogical research.
