Manuscript Submission and Editorial Process

Manuscript submission to Revista Psicopedagogia is free of charge and operates under a rolling basis. Submissions must be sent exclusively via OJS system. Authors are required to strictly follow the journal’s editorial guidelines prior to submission.

During the submission process, authors must clearly declare any conflicts of interest related to the content of the manuscript. For studies involving human participants, authors must include the ethics committee approval number, along with an attached copy of the official ethics opinion statement.

It is strongly recommended that manuscripts undergo professional language editing prior to submission to ensure grammatical accuracy, terminological precision, and clarity of expression, thereby enhancing the scientific and editorial quality of the publication.

The editorial workflow of Revista Psicopedagogia follows internationally recognized best practices in academic publishing, ensuring the rigor, integrity, and excellence of published works. The editorial process comprises the following steps:

  1. Submission
Manuscripts must be submitted via OJS, accompanied by the required documents as specified in the author guidelines.

  2. Initial Editorial Screening
The editorial team performs a preliminary assessment to verify the manuscript’s adherence to the journal’s guidelines, thematic relevance, and baseline scientific quality required to proceed.

  3. Peer Review
Submissions approved in the initial screening are subjected to double-blind peer review, ensuring anonymity of both authors and reviewers. Experts in the field assess the manuscript’s originality, relevance, theoretical and methodological soundness, and clarity of writing.

  4. Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ assessments, the editor issues a decision: acceptance, rejection, or request for revisions. Editorial decisions may include acceptance without revisions, acceptance with minor or major revisions, or justified rejection.

  5. Author Revisions
Authors are expected to revise the manuscript in accordance with reviewer feedback. This phase may involve multiple rounds of revisions and resubmissions until the manuscript meets all scientific and editorial standards.

  6. Scientific and Editorial Editing
Once accepted, the manuscript undergoes technical editing, bibliographic standardization (e.g., APA style), graphical formatting, and final ethical compliance checks.

  7. Publication
Accepted manuscripts are published in regular issues of the journal. Revista Psicopedagogia adopts an open access policy, allowing unrestricted public access to its scientific content.

  8. Post-publication
Published articles may be promoted via academic platforms, social media, and indexing databases. The journal also offers mechanisms for post-publication commentary, errata, and retractions, when applicable, in alignment with principles of transparency and research integrity.
