The Revista Psicopedagogia, published by the Brazilian Association of Psychopedagogy (ABPp), ensures compliance with ethical principles and impartiality throughout all stages of the editorial process, in accordance with the international guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and recognized standards of scientific publishing.
Members of the Editorial Board, as well as those of the Executive Council of Editorial Policy, may submit articles to Revista Psicopedagogia, provided that:
the manuscript aligns with the scope and editorial standards of the journal;
the content represents an original and thematically relevant scientific contribution;
a clear separation is maintained between the roles of author and editor to preserve transparency and independence in the peer-review process.
Manuscripts submitted by Editorial Board members will be sent to independent external reviewers, with no direct connection to the journal or the author.
Under no circumstances may the Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editors, or Editorial Board members take part in the editorial decision regarding their own manuscripts.
The identities of authors and reviewers will remain confidential, following the double-blind peer review model.
Authors who are members of the Editorial Board must explicitly declare any potential conflicts of interest related to the research, authorship, institutional affiliation, or editorial role they hold.
Failure to disclose such information may result in the rejection of the manuscript.
Editorial Board members may submit a maximum of one manuscript per annual volume.
Consecutive submissions must observe a minimum interval of twelve months between publications authored by the same member.
The publication of manuscripts authored by Editorial Board members may occur by invitation from the Editorial Council, in cases of special issues, thematic dossiers, or high-impact review papers, provided that the standard peer-review process is maintained.
The participation of Editorial Board members as authors will be publicly disclosed in the editorial credits section of each volume, including a statement regarding the independent review process and the absence of editorial influence in the final decision.
The submission of manuscripts by Editorial Board members implies full acceptance of these guidelines and a commitment to the principles of scientific integrity, transparency, and editorial impartiality that guide the Revista Psicopedagogia.
